Peter Lamont Photography

1960I have long said that I appreciate my eyes the most.
Though I have been blessed in seemingly every way
my eyes entertain me constantly, whether I chase the light
or simply be in the the light.

I was raised in Ontario Canada during the 60's, and I have enjoyed photography since I was big enough to hold on to a camera. My father was a photo enthusiast, and being an engineer he taught me to appreciate a full understanding of how things worked. This appreciation would encourage and direct me to this day. At an early age I applied this curiosity to life itself, and went west in search of how things worked. I moved to British Columbia, ventured on to Australia, Hawaii and now northern New Mexico... my home for over 20 years.

2004Sports have always influenced where and how I have lived. Skiing and bicycling in the mountains... windsurfing and kayaking the oceans... sailing and waterskiing on freshwater lakes.
I may be a sportsman, but my eyes play everywhere, all the time.
Beauty and diversity and curiosity surround us.

I love what I see, and I love what I capture. It is this joy of the image - the joy of the light - that keeps me watching and waiting for precisely the right place and time.

Please... come see what I see.
